Whether you are a first time or seasoned visitor, Renishaw Hall is a truly beautiful place to visit.

Renishaw has been in my family for nearly 400 years and generations of Sitwells have made their mark on the architecture, gardens and wider estate which comprise Renishaw and so much of what you see on your visit. I hope you will thoroughly enjoy your time at Renishaw now it is under my care and still very much a family home.

Renishaw Hall & Gardens promises to offer visitors both a cultural and visual spectacle as they enjoy the award winning gardens and historic Hall this season

The specialist plant fairs are back on Sunday 6th May and Sunday 7thAugust, where hundreds of beautiful plants and flowers will be available to buy in one unique fair; to add colour and style to your gardens at home.

A series of special Hall tours looking at the artistic collection of the Sitwell brothers take place on 27th May and 1st July, with a third date to be confirmed, as part of the Grand Tour Season 3 ‘Brothers in Art’ focuses on the incredible art collection of the Sitwell brothers, with the Hall a backdrop for contemporary art pieces and poetry inspired by the Sitwell family.


Regular Hall tours are also available on Fridays throughout the season and at weekends in August, pre-booking advised.


This season is the first full year of award-winning garden designer Lee Bestall’s RHS Chatsworth Show Garden being installed in the grounds at Renishaw Hall; plus the newly designed large borders will be in full bloom. See the recently replanted rose garden as you explore the different areas of this special garden.

There’s also a food and craft fair in the stable courtyard on 19th August, with over 30 stalls offering a variety of food and crafts from the region.


Vineyard tours including tasting the award-winning Renishaw Hall wines are on Sundays at noon on 13th May, 10th June, 1st and 22nd July 9th and 23rd September. Book via www.englishwineproject.co.uk


And new for this year are cutting garden workshops – on various dates throughout the summer. Book via 01246 436474.

For a delicious bite to eat and to take refreshment in lovely surroundings, the recently refurbished Café at Renishaw Hall offers a fantastic place to meet for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea – in the heart of the historic Renishaw Estate.

The Café offers outdoor courtyard dining as well as plenty of room in the stylish interior, plus a private area adjacent to the Café is perfect for private groups and events; enquire at the visitor centre to book this space.
