Another wave of wine awards for Renishaw Hall Vineyard and Kieron Atkinson
Another wave of global wine awards for 45-year old Renishaw Hall Vineyard places the north of England once again on the world wine map
Renishaw Hall Vineyard, in north Derbyshire, has picked up more accolades in this year’s newly-announced Decanter World Wine Awards, confirming that the production of award-winning wine is not limited to the vineyards of southern England.
Kieron Atkinson, winemaker and vineyard tenant at Renishaw Hall on the Derbyshire / Yorkshire border, has picked up five awards for his wines – one for every wine entered – in the 2017 Decanter World Wine Awards.
The award-winning wines include three white sparkling wines and two still red wines, produced using grapes grown in north Derbyshire. The awards give Kieron and the historic vineyard in north Derbyshire – which this year is an impressive 45 years old – a 100% success rate of entering and winning in the Decanter World Wine Awards.
